I can't explain this, I'm afraid. Because I'm not myself, you see.

I'm as much me as I ever was, but I've never been one to pass up on the literature callbacks where appropriate. It's been a while, but an album like this is something the site's really about. Anime from a few years ago, perhaps slightly obscure, getting character song albums released with the best treatment I can provide. (Which, as it turns out, is quite well.)

So, where to begin this curious little tale? Alice in Wonderland motifs, brother complexes, highly concentrated yuri, a woman who shrinks in size and snooping into peoples' personal lives for the sake of completing the MacGuffin. A decent watch if you have the time. Artists on this album include Ai Shimizu, Miyu Matsuki and Masumi Asano.

So, do you want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes? (Wait, I think that's the wrong fiction...)

September's End and An Abundance of Maids

We don't have any musical releases out (at least not for a few days), but rather, this is a look at just how many Character Song releases at this end of this month have maids in them.

There's the third Kamen no Maid Guy Character CD, the fourth Nogizaka Haruka one, and the third Zero no Tsukaima ~Princess no Rondo~ CD. Fubuki (and Kogarashi - there's a duet on there), Nanami and Hazuki, and Siesta, in that order. Of course there's plenty of other, non-maid character songs, but the timing of these three stand out as an amusing little aside.

Gargoyle of the Yoshinagas Complete Music Collection Festival Day 1: OP/ED Single

Though you have to admit, Yoshinoya-sensei no Gargoyle would make an awesome show. He's a stubborn stone gargoyle with magic powers, she's a childlike art teacher with a love of cosplay. THEY FIGHT CRIME! Starring Miyu Matsuki and Norio Wakamoto.

All kidding aside, Celonius28 is releasing the complete Gargoyle of the Yoshinoyas music collection, and there's so much of it we can't fit it all into one day. We begin with the single. "Ohayou" coupled with "Ai ni Oide, Ai ni Oide". Performed by Chiwa Saito, Yuuna Inamura and Nana Mizuki. Nana and Yuuna worked together on Koi Koi 7, and Chiwa and Nana will be starring alongside each other in Rosario + Vampire Capu2 this fall.

The Celonius28 Mission Statement

With a wave of releases coming up in the rest of the week, I feel I should establish what the goal of this blog is. Partly because it makes me seem official, and partly because I've never written a declaration before and wish to now. I'll be like Thomas Jefferson.

I, as the sole manager of Celonius28's song images, believe that all music is equal. From the powerful "euphoric field" to the cutesy J-Pop openings of Shugo Chara!. Sometimes, the more established groups tend to overlook some the music for a series due to lack of demand, lack of notice, or some other reason. My goal is to provide those. No matter how obscure or possibly bad the show may be. There is always someone who wants that song. If nobody is to provide, then I feel it is my job to provide. As long as there are resources, so shall I provide. And I shall do it whilst never losing my vigor.

And that's when I decided that ending a post the same way all the time gets boring, and decided to add some variety.
