Amagami Character Songs 7-8

With exactly a week until Amagami SS, the releases finish.
Celonius28 apologizes for the delay. CDs from TwoFive are a little more difficult to obtain than those from other companies, but, six months later, Haruka and Hibiki have been split into their own individual releases, making their monologues available, and their songs available too. Unless something is suddenly announced, I think this closes off this line of releases. The Soen CD trio will not be receiving solo releases, because they are minor characters.

Though this set of Amagami releases has finished, a new series is about to begin. The ED/character songs for the TV series. Enjoy!

B Gata H Kei Character Song Album

Yamada wants to sing 100 duets.

Finally, a new release, though I should have a few more surprises in the coming weeks. The B Gata H Kei character song album is, structurally, rather similar to Toradora's, in that it has individual songs for most major characters (and some minor ones), as well as a group song for the show's three leading ladies. Not everyone gets a tune (the erogami, Misato and Katase, etc.), but it's a nice album overall. Very high energy.

Amagami Character Songs - Comiket 77 Specials

A Happy New Year and a happy haul from Comiket.

Just as it happened before with Miya and Sae, so shall it happen again. Haruka and Hibiki on one CD, and a collection of minor characters, including the Bromantic Foil, on the other. There is a song here called "Doggie Disco Fever". Disco may be dead, but that doesn't mean it can't be undead. As it's January 1st, a very happy 2010 to all my readers. Once the season gets underway, I'll begin preparing my quarterly State of the Character Songs. Plenty of shows seem to be in ship shape this season. Enjoy.

Amagami Character Song Vol. 3-4

Wait, what?

I know what you're thinking, dear reader. "Haven't you already released these?" Well, mysterious hypothetical voice of the audience, of course I have. You can see them one post below this one. The difference is that while the last release was a compilation Comiket Special, these are separate and nearly the same, except for the presence of the monologues. Also, they might look a little cleaner when organizing them in your music player. So, Sae and Miya, once more.

Amagami Character Song Vol. 3+4

One last gift from Comiket 76.

Vol. 3+4 were a joint release at this year's Comiket, featuring Sae Nakata, one of the main choices in the game, and Miya, [Insert Player Character Name Here]'s kid sister. Hiromi Konno and Kana Asumi (Marin, Yuno, Ran et al.) do the singing. The Amagami series of CDs is going to keep releasing into early 2010, and I'll catch and release all of them in as timely a manner as possible.

Kamen no Maid Guy Character Song 4 - Liz v2

Now with scans.

For something I marked as a "milestone release" a long, long time ago, it's getting a v2. My reasons for this are this v2 has scans. Scans are a pretty important thing when it comes to music. They provide lyrics, nice cover art, and allow the lyric and music databases that I frequent to be up to date. And since I appeared to be the only one releasing the Maid Guy character songs to begin with, this could be taken at my own pace. It was on my mind for months. Now, onto the music itself. (Again.) ArielWave releases another, and so in turn do I.

To think that soon I'd have been running this thing for a year, slowly getting better and releasing more and more things along the way. For differing reasons, from differing sources, but always with the goal of supporting the obscure. Another release from the Shin Koihime Musou series this time, and the listings confirm that there's one more CD left in this character song series to be released in September. Zettai Karen Children Character CD 7th-8th session

Where's the love for minor characters these days?

All things in due time, and when there's a noticeable gap in the music releases, someone has to fill it in. That's where I enter. The last two CDs in the Zettai Karen lineup (except for level 7, UNLIMITED and the Drama CDs, and I do have plans for the Drama CDs) featuring relatively minor characters, yet we love them anyway. Dr. Sakaki, Oboro and the Double Face all get to sing, plus two more short dramas are included.

Koi Koi 7 x 7

It goes without saying that my taste in anime is not bound to anything. Be the source a novel visual or light, manga or made up for TV, I'm willing to watch it as long as the combination of elements is right. I don't have guilty pleasures, because a feeling of guilt while watching something is rather bothersome. But Koi Koi 7 is probably one of my ultimate favorites, even with a total lack of substance.

It hits all the right elements. Cute girls, Sentai heroes and, in the manga (and a bit of that feeling carries to the anime), that idea that something dark, perhaps a little scary, is lurking beneath the surface. But I keep my soapboxing to a minimum as this is really about the music, and these six character albums are rare. Each one includes three songs and an instrumental piece. The full treatment is given to each of them — highest quality bitrate and scans included. So, let us begin.

First up is Yayoi Asuka (the pink-haired one). Tetsuro's on the cover too. Lucky guy, getting hitched like that. Yayoi's songs are "Colorful", "Angel Sign" and her single, "Yakusoku".

Next is probably my favorite of the girls, Akio Suzuka. Would-be Sentai heroine. Seen here in a lovely China dress. Akio's songs are "Ai wa Kono Te ga Mamoru no da", "Love is Power" and "A Champion of Peace". All of those have a very heroic slant to them, you have to admit.

Next we come to Sakuya Kazamatsuri. Tomboy, gunslinger and not much shame when it comes to walking around the house. Fitting to her trigger-happy nature, seen here as a lady cop. Sakuya's songs include "Doushi Renai", "The Ice Picks of Love" and "Mirai Heart".

Miyabi Tsukuyomi, seen here as a maid. She of the prehensile hair, shapeshifting and loved by girls everywhere. The right combo of aloof and suave. Miyabi's songs include "Ai no Hane", "Mure ni Kaerenai Tori" and "D-day".

Hifumi Inokai is next. The group's resident Cute Bruiser, and as far as the albums go, nurse. Her songs include "Watashi to Midori no Katachi", "Cosmic Light" and "Vegetable Juice". If she sounds familiar, that's because it's Kimiko Koyama - currently known as Yukari Sendou.

Finally, Otome Chouno. Oldest in age, youngest in looks. Seen here in some sort of Arabian dress. Her songs include "Miracle Moment", "Hitori Dake no Tokimeki" and "Puzzle". Incomprehensible? Not in the least.

This last one is a surprise even to me. This is the complete song collection, "Paradise". Full versions of the OP and ED, the songs from the character song singles (including three that, out of my releases, can only be found here), and two songs that can be found only on here. "Pineapple Summer", a goofy song by the six main girls and - here's the big one - the other Yayoi's (aka Celonius28)'s song, "Lost Days". Sung by Nana Mizuki. So, yes, Celonius28's Song Images finally lives up to its name. And so, that wraps up this very long, yet very music-filled post.

To LoveRu Variety CD 4-5

Putting Mikan here should be great for a hits boost.

I don't really keep track of hits to begin with, but I certainly know what the fans like. The last two TLR Variety CDs are here, and included on them are another song for Run/Ren, a second song for Yui, one for Saki, a song for Rito (even the harem leads deserve one every now and then), a second one for Mikan and a Lala/Haruna duet.

Kamen no Maid Guy Character Song 4 - Liz

Strawberryfield Forever!

This music release is a special one. Kamen no Maid Guy's first character song single was the very first Celonius28 release, and now the series of Maid Guy CDs comes to a close. Several months and several releases have passed since then, and we've finally marked our own territory in a competitive game, which is something to be proud of. From here on out, there will be plenty more releases, more news and some especially rare goodies. Then what is there but 2009? Hundreds of new series, which means new music for an enterprising individual. I'm glad I was able to come this far.

Now, as for the content. Liz has her song of course, with the second song being sung by...the fish store owner. I was expecting a duet by Tsurara and Shizuku myself, but the whole "meido duo" thing was already covered by Kogarashi and Fubuki (and Nanami and Hazuki). It wouldn't be Maid Guy without something odd thrown in. In with a bang, out with an accordion.

Maid Guy's service will never end, and neither will Celonius28's!

Sekirei Sound Stage 02

The Devil, the Drunk and the Digital.

Another series of dramas, along with characters songs for Yukari (a rather unexpected surprise to have Kana Asumi's voice on here), Matsu and Kazehana. Sekirei's DVDs are still in the early stages of release, and many goods are to come later down the line, such as a live version of the OP and ED and a Kusano mini-episode.

Wagaya no Oinari-sama Tenkogeijyutsu Kakyoku Shu

No scans, but the music is as clear as ever. And there's plenty of Kou-chan.

I was waiting to see if this one should be released, and so it was. Character songs for Mubyou, Miyabe, Kuu (male form), plus the full version of "Shiawase no Kotodama" make up this mini-album. It's a fun song to dance to. Several talk tracks are placed between, but the music, which includes the OP and ED for good measure, is the real focus here. As always, Celonius28 is glad to provide and wishes you a good anime season.

Kyouran Kazoku Nikki Character Song Album Cancelled

The Lantis website has deemed it official. After a pushback from August to September to October to cancelled, the Kyouran Kazoku Nikki character song album, which was supposed to feature songs for every non-Midarezaki cast member, has been cancelled for reasons unknown. Perhaps, like the Kimiaru album, it'll resurface one day, or it'll just be something lost to the aether.

But the show must go on - a new season is beginning, and new music will come with it.

Each of these three albums includes a song for the girl on the cover, a second song (one of which is an Izumi/Mitsuki duet), a drama, and a solo version of "Aijou no Katamari". Overall, a very nice selection of music. Another Meido Monday is planned for a week or two from now, but that will arrive when it does. For now, enjoy.

Kamen no Maid Guy Character Song 2 Naeka & Eiko & Miwa and the Naeka's Breasts Fanclub

Color me surprised. This time the Maid Guy album actually appears close to its release. Since the Maid Guy Character Song albums are Celonius28's first major release and also the release I'm most proud of, we're more than glad to be able to provide this one.

Trios are a major theme in this one. Naeka and her Those Two Guys sing first, followed by the Naeka's Breasts Fanclub. And after realizing a few errors in the first Maid Guy release, a v2 has been prepared. As someone once said, making a v2 means you're willing to admit to your mistakes, and I really was just starting the music game at the time.

Celonius28 Friday Special: Dragonaut -The Resonance- Drama & Character Songs vol 1-5

I know Dragonaut was a far cry away from being Masterpiece Theater. Or even winfail. But putting the show's content aside, the Character Songs are pretty enjoyable. Two thirds of the Saint October trio (I have something regarding them coming up soon) plus Gougou Sentai Boukenger's Natsuki, Aya Hirano, Yuko Goto, Minori Chihara, Ono Daisuke, and Nana Mizuki are among the many great voices on these albums.
